​TRANSNISTRIA PRODUCED NEARLY 400 THOUSAND TONS OF GROUP 1 GRAIN CROPS

Transnistria has completed the harvesting of Group 1 grain crops. According to the region’s ministry of agriculture, Transnistria removed over 392 thousand tons of grain crops and pulses (in 2022 - 230 thousand tons), which is 2.5 times more than are the region’s domestic needs. The average yield was 4.2 tons/hectare. More than 338 thousand tons (+138 thousand tons) of winter wheat were harvested, and its yield reached 4.33 t/ha. In 2022, the average yield was 3 t/ha. The gross harvest of vegetable crops has already amounted to 8.6 thousand tons, including 2.8 thousand tons of green peas, 3.7 thousand tons of sweet corn, 286 tons of cabbages, 195 tons of carrots, 122 tons of tomatoes.
